Flyfishing Indiana's West Fork of the Whitewater River

West Fork of the Whitewater River – The West Fork is a beautiful fast flowing river. This is truly a great place to get away from it all. The West Fork is floatable in all but the driest times of the year. Even though we float it we usually fish while wading. There are no remote rivers in Indiana but the West Fork is the closest thing we have. Fishing pressure is light and you seldom if ever hear a car or see a house. Its bottom is sand and gravel and wonderful to wade. The river is large enough to allow plenty of casting room. Low mid-summer water can provide exciting top water action. Float to fish holding water, then wade.
